After a two year restoration, Cartier's Fifth Avenue Mansion in Manhattan re-opened its doors with a chic affair. From the etched Invitation to the passed Cartier branded champagne, the event celebrated the iconic space which first opened its doors in 1917.
I loved the table setting for my grandfather's 101st birthday with our family. The attention to detail and beauty on my grandparents dining table has been an inspiration, especially the beautiful porcelain they collected. My favorite porcelain dining sets are from the company Meissen, a German based brand founded in 1710. The quality and craftsmanship is unfaltering and forever chic, and the dining table always looks like a work of art.
Attending the 2016 Nexus Global Youth Summit in Manhattan this week was an inspiring and revelatory experience. The summit members met at the United Nations Headquarters and discussed topics ranging from sustainable and cruelty-free agriculture to the eco-fashion industry.
The Vermont Summer Festival horse show is a favorite July tradition. Starting with a scenic drive from New York City up the Taconic Parkway and into the beautiful Green Mountains, the quaint towns of Dorset and Manchester are a welcome change of scenery after a busy few months in Manhattan. 'Stuart', (a sweet and athletic Irish Sport horse) loved being in the showring to demonstrate his jumping skills, and earned lots of carrots. After a long day at the horse show, it is wonderful to relax at the Equinox Hotel with a glass of champagne and view of the mountains. Happy Summer!
For summer, the AR 'Ellie' dress is a favorite go to dress for its simplicity and elegance. At the Party in the Garden at The Museum of Modern Art, we loved the dress in ivory along with the AR ostrich clutch. It was a beautiful evening celebrating the museum and honoring the incredible artists Mark Bradford, Brice Marden and Huma Bhabha
We love this image captured by photographer Arnaldo Anaya-Lucca for the Ariana Rockefeller handbag campaign. The stitching on the bag was inspired by Ariana's custom saddle. This signature crossbody handbag is named the 'Cavaletti', after a type of small jump used in horse training to improve strength and flexibility of both horse and rider.
Many thanks again to Women's Wear Daily for the lovely article on the launch of the handbags!
